Hurricane Bill looks and Clarion West stuff

Hurricane Bill looks like it will be going someplace else ... we'd ahve to really charge up the coast to see the full deal...
so we won't.

Three is the day lily count today. Pretty.

In 1973 I went to Clarion West, where I got to meet and work with some of the top writers in the field. For me it was an amazing experience ...
and I'm glad i went. That particular organization and workshop, affilaited I think with the U. of Washington,  later reformed itself into a non-profit ... and went back to work with the job of helping new writers.

Now the Clarion West folks have let me know they are all of 11 shy of reaching their goal of getting 200 donors for this year's
Clarion West Write-a-thon . These donations help keep Clarion West rolling. What's the big deal? Some folks can use Clarion West to shave years off their writing apprenticeship and, which means more good stories for you, sooner. Also, some of the attendees will discover that they are not ready, or may never be ready, to become the writer they assumed they were going to be -- and this clarity can also shape lives for the better. So, drop over to the page, look at the list of participants, and sponsor one or more -- this is a great way to pay forward, for all of us! You can tell them I sent you, you can look upon the list of other writers participating and sponsor one or more of them -- but please, let the words roll!

Thanks for the help!
