So...

in the midst of finishing up Crystal Dragon I have to take time out for some SRM Publisher stuff. Tax-time.... oh well.

Outside, it drips. The snow is down to about covering about 20% of the property; this year we have a strange artifact -- a deep wind-driven pile of snow in the middle of the lawn that's lasting longer than some of the stuff in the woods. Guess it has better drainage, what with all this rain. I see we're going lose most of one of the pines that helps cut down noise from the neighbor's small engine repair business... sigh. I guess that one ice incident was too much for it and it's losing three big branches on one side.

Rolanni reports filling up the Blazer for *only* $30. We're making fewer trips to Post Office and town at $5 there-and-back, you betcha.

Still some kind of cable-ISP junk going on from time to time. Too bad we're way outside DSL limits. We may be within wireless broadband within a month or so -- anyone got experience with that?

Crystal Soldier got a Carolyn Cushman short review in Locus. Guess that's not a bad thing... and then we got news that Crystal Soldier is #4 on the Mysterious Galaxy bestseller list -- but here:

Heh -- 7 collaborations on those bestseller lists... a trend continues.

Enough. Back to work. Stuff. Yikes! Here's more trouble with the net connection over in Rolanni's office...way to go Adelphia! And while I'm in complaint mode, did I mention that we had an unfun-time at the Long John Silver restaurant in Chambersburg, PA on our way back up the road from SheVaCon? The food was fine, the ambiance and the help were.... off-putting. YMMV, but they're sincerely not on our stop-again list. Pffftttttt.

Catch you all later
